The Holy Spirit is with Us

This is a story that warms my heart every time I reminisce about it.

The story begins on a pleasant sunny summer day (June 11, 2023) spending some time on the lake. I spent most of the day fishing off our dock, one of my favorite past times. My wife was reading a book and taking in the rays from the sun. This day was especially enjoyable because of the pleasant weather, but I was having trouble catching fish which is sometimes the case when I am not using live bait but instead using artificial lures. As the sun was going down, I wanted to try something new, so I asked the Holy Spirit to help me pick out a lure and I listened for His choice. The lure He selected resulted in many bites, but I did not land a single fish. With night moving in we packed up our belongings and praised the Lord for such a beautiful day! About three days later I checked our trail cam photos for any pictures of wildlife, deer, red fox, eagle, racoon or other. There was no wildlife but there was a photo of me on the dock leaning over my tackle box to pick out a lure at the end of that day. Below is the photo from the trail cam with the date and time stamp. As you can see, it matches my story and the time of our departure that day. This is proof for me that the Holy Spirit is with us every minute of the day and willing to help us in any way. Nothing is too small or insignificant for the Holy Spirit. A trustworthy friend for life. Praise the Lord! Amen!
